Day 170: KAWS



KAWS was born Brian Donnelly in Jersey City, New Jersey. He began his career as a graffiti artist growing up in Jersey City, New Jersey. Later moving to New York City in the 1990s, KAWS started subverting imagery on billboards, bus shelters and phone booth advertisements.

In the late 90s, KAWS began to design and produce limited edition vinyl toys. More toys and later clothing were made for Original Fake, a recent collaborative store with Medicom Toy. One of KAWS' early series, Package Paintings, was made in 2000. This series, entitled The Kimpsons, subverted the famous American cartoon, The Simpsons.

Day 169: Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear



Lotso, short for Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear, is a fictional character from the movie Toy Story 3. He is a plush, pink teddy bear with a purple nose, a walking cane, and a sweet strawberry scent. Lotso is the leader, commanding officer, and Mafia boss of the toys at the Daycare Center.

Day 143: Fillmore (Cars)







Fillmore is a fictional character from the movie Cars by Disney Pixar. He is a Volkswagen Type 2 microbus of late 1950s/early 1960s vintage as evidenced by his pointed front turn signals and small rear window. Fillmore's license plate reads "51237", which is a reference to May 12, 1937, the birthdate of George Carlin. He is a stereotypical hippie, with his license plate positioned to resemble a soul patch. His name is a reference to the Fillmore East, a venue that was an epicenter for rock performances throughout the 1960s and 1970s (The Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead, and Jimi Hendrix all made notable live recordings there, to name a few).

Day 115: Russell (Up)



Russell is a character from the Pixar movie Up. He is also a Wilderness Explorer. Russell was missing the "Assisting the Elderly" Wilderness Patch, the last one to put him in the rank of Senior Wilderness Explorer. He showed up at Carl Fredricksen's doorstep, hoping to help him in crossing something to "assist" him.

Russell is apparently a chubby kid, since his very last shirt button isn't buttoned. He is always seen wearing a Wilderness Explorer uniform and his merit badges. He appears to be of Asian descent. He has short, spiked hair, which is normally covered by a hat.

Day 107: Mr. Incredible



Robert "Bob" Parr (superhero name Mr. Incredible), is a fictional superhero with great strength and durability introduced in the animated Disney/Pixar motion picture The Incredibles. His strength is of such dimensions that he can single-handedly lift a semi-truck with little difficulty. His best friend is fellow "super" Lucius Best a.k.a. Frozone. Mr. Incredible is married to Elastigirl (Helen Parr), who have three children together, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack.

Day 89: Sally





Sally is a fictional character in Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, and is the main female protagonist of the film.

She was created by Doctor Finklestein, Halloween Town's resident mad scientist. As Finklestein insists on keeping Sally under lock and key, under the pretext of protecting her from the excitement of the outside world, Sally becomes restless. It is this restlessness that draws her to Jack Skellington.

Day 77: Snow White



Snow White is the title character of a fairy tale known from many countries in Europe, the best known version being the German one collected by the Brothers Grimm. The German version features elements such as the magic mirror and the seven dwarfs, who were first given individual names in Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).

Day 67: Runt of the Litter





Runt of the Litter is a fictional character from the Disney animated film Chicken Little. Runt, together with Abby Mallard (the Ugly Duckling) and Fish out of Water, are the only friends of Chicken Little, who suffers under a reputation for being crazy since he caused a panic saying the sky was falling. Runt is easily frightened and prone to panic, but keeps himself calm through 70's music.

Chicken Little is a fictional character from the 2005 CGI animated film produced by Walt Disney. He is a young rooster who suffers under a reputation for being crazy since he caused a panic saying the sky was falling.

Day 59: Celia Mae (Monsters, Inc.)



Celia Mae is a fictional character from the animated film Monsters, Inc. by Disney-Pixar. Celia (a.k.a. Shmoopsie Poo as called by Mike) is Mike Wazowski's girlfriend. She appears to be a combination between a Gorgon and a Cecaelia. Her name may be a play on the word Cecaelia. In the movie, Celia is celebrating her birthday, so Mike invites her to a Japanese restaurant, Harryhausen's (named in honor of legendary monster maker Ray Harryhausen), but due to Boo being in the restaurant, the place is contained by the CDA.

Day 44: Woody





Sheriff Woody, or just Woody is a fictional character that first appeared in the CGI animated film Toy Story, its sequel Toy Story 2, and will appear in a second sequel, Toy Story 3, due to be released in 2010.

Woody is inspired by executive producer John Lasseter's favorite childhood toy, a pull-string Casper the Friendly Ghost talking doll. PIXAR Animator/Director Bud Luckey designed the character and came up with the idea of making him a cowboy.

Day 43: Stitch



Stitch is the name of the genetic experiment 626, a fictional alien protagonist from the Lilo & Stitch films and television program. Originally created to cause chaos across the galaxy, he is marked by his short temper and mischievous behavior, traits that endear him to his friend Lilo, who adopted him as her puppy dog. He is voiced by his creator and the film's co-director, Chris Sanders.

Day 41: Buzz Lightyear



Buzz Lightyear is a fictional character that first appeared in the full-length CGI animated film Toy Story by Pixar. He has also appeared in the movie Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins and the television series Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. His often repeated catchphrase is "To Infinity... and Beyond".

In the theatrical films, the featured Buzz is a toy — a spaceman action figure — whereas the television properties follow the adventures of the fictional space ranger on whom the toy is modelled. His name was inspired by Apollo astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

Day 22: Mike Wazowski



Mike Wazowski is a fictional character in the Pixar animated feature film, Monsters, Inc.

He is a Cyclops monster in the shape of a tennis ball, with one large eys, two horns on his head, and arms and legs, no torso. He was voiced by Billy Crystal and made cameo appearance in several other Pixar films such as Finding Nemo (while snorkelling), and Toy Story (as a toy).

Day 21: James P. Sullivan

James P. "Sulley" Sullivan is a large, furry blue monster with purple spots in the Pixar animated feature film, Monsters, Inc. Sulley is the top scarer at Monsters, Inc., responsible for generating the scares that provide power for the city of Monstropolis along with his partner, Mike Wazowski. In the film, Sulley is voiced by John Goodman.
